LATEST ZZ MANGO PRODUCT UPDATE,
-
Indian Mango Ice Cream:
Our ice-cream has received tremendous response. We are targeting
production of our new flavor of our ice-cream "Mango Almond
Pistacchio" in March 2013. We have been conducting trials and
tastings of this flavor for over an year now and the response has
been tremendous. We are confident that you will like this new flavor.
-
Indian Mango Pulp:
We placed our first order for the 100% pure Ratnagiri Alphonso Mango
Pulp made from our mangoes in India. The pulp will be available for
purchase in March 2013. We had hoped to get the desired sweetness
without adding sugar, however we did have to add minimal sugar in our
order batch. However, the flavor of this batch is exceptional. We
also succeeded in our effort to get the desired sweetness with
addition of any sugar, but that requires much more attention on the
mango selection and proper ripening. We will manufacture the pulp
with no sugar addition in 2013, and that will be available in
October-November of 2013.
-
Mango Bites (Dried Mango):
Our mango bites were immensely liked by most people. We have many
customers who are ordering the mango bites on a regular basis and we
offer a season pass to ensure that they receive their healthy mango
snack regularly. Our mango bites are 100% pure mango (nothing added).
We will add Organic version of our bites in 2013. We have also been
experimenting with Indian varieties for mango bites- we have so far
not been successful in getting comparable taste or flavor yet. We
have a few thoughts that we hope to try out in 2013.
-
Indian Mango Fruit Spread/Jam:
We had hoped to produce a spread which is close to the original mango
in sweetness and flow. However, feedback is that there might be more
demand for a less viscous, more jam like version of our Indian Mango
Fruit Spread. We are still debating whether we should add more sugar
and set the spread like a jam or not.
-
Indian Mango Chutney:
This has been a super hit item wherever it has been sold. We will
continue with our original recipe with few changes.
-
Indian Mango Bliss:
This came about when the Mango Passion of The ZZ Group, the Expertise
of Saint George's Spirits in Alameda and the enterprising spirit of
Breads of India in Berkeley came together. After 3 years of
experimentation and 2 years of aging, the first batch of Indian Mango
Liqueur was produced. The Limited Edition of 300 bottles will be
bottled and released in March of 2013 to kick off the mango season.
It has been a labor of love for us- so far none of our samplers were
willing to part with the sample bottle!!
-
Indian Mango Pickle:
Every region of India has its version of the mango pickle. Pickle is
made from green mango and has to be made at the source. Our attempts
to import green mango failed miserably as the mango would invariable
ripen. We are working towards a collection of mango pickles which are
the best in class from each region of India. So far, we have touched
2 regions of India- many more to go!! We will make the collection
available online when we have a decent collection.
